Construction of new cereal silo in Bulgaria

On April 12, 2021, Loulis Mills through its subsidiary, Loulis Mel-Bulgaria EAD, begun the construction of a cereal silo, with a capacity of 7,000 tons, on a privately owned plot of land located in the Bozhurishte industrial zone in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The cost of the investment is estimated at € 2.8 million. Bulgaria is now one of the main producers of soft grains in the Balkan Peninsula, exporting millions of tons annually. As Greece is in deficit in the production of common wheat, in relation to the needs of the domestic market and relies on imports, Loulis Mills intends through this investment to be able to procure and sort the best and highest quality cereals directly from the source.
The company continues to grow, consistently fulfilling one of its strategic priorities, strengthening its international activity in Bulgaria.
